Stupid, stupid, stupid
During the last presidential campaign I heard liberals tout the fact that Obama was going to be the smartest President we have ever had...in fact, one went so far as to say that Obama's intelligence was 'off the chart'. Excuse me, but I find that very difficult to believe. Anyone with even a modicum of intelligence would know better than to release for world view the tactics we use to gather data on terrorist operations. Yet, Obama did so with ease. This administration has got to be the most stupid we have ever had, and that includes Carter. Stupid! Stupid! Stupid!

I actually think Obama did the right thing. There was a lot of speculation as to what techniques were used, and we both know what they say about assumption. In any case, these speculations were blown out of proportion and, in turn, made Bush look like a someone with no regard for human rights. If anything, I believe this move helped clear up Bush's administration, and halt the calls for a tribunal. Besides, how big of a secret could it be if most of our torture techniques were stolen from other countries' traditions in the first place?
By the way, intelligence is relative. Obama's IQ is fairly high, considering that the national average is 100. And, comparatively, most people assume intelligence if one can speak eloquently which he, without a doubt, does. In addition, I believe one of the quotes you are referring to deemed him as our "first GEEK president," in reference to his handiness with technology in comparison to his predecessors. And really, what's so bad about that? Technology is progressive and it's nice to have someone who can keep up with the young-uns.
You compare Obama to a bunch of idiots and then tell me its relative? Where do you get your ideas? A halt to tribunals? Right! That's why Obama said he IS going to prosecute those who were not only in charge, but those who applied the "torture" techniques as well. The problem with using technology is that you no longer can think on your own. Case in point; during Obama's "look at me now" speech two days ago the teleprompter went blank. He was talking about core beliefs and had to wait for the teleprompter to come back up so that he could finish. Core beliefs? If he truly had any, or believed in a certain way, he could have espoused those beliefs from the heart. He is a robot, robotically reading what was written for him. That he can deliver a good written speech, does not make him a leader or a statesman, and it makes him look stupid, which is what he is, even when compared to idiots.
